Difference between CBSE and ICSE Board

About CBSE

CBSE is the central body for secondary education. Established on November 3, 1962, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It has subsidiaries in more than 16,000 schools in India and 24 other countries around the world. Joining the schools extends to upper secondary level which includes all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by the Central Government of India.

The Board is responsible for completing the final exam for students in grades 10 and 12, the All India Senior School Certificate Exam (AISSCE) for grades 10 and 12 each spring, and the entrance exam for engineering students - AIEEE and for health students. - AIPMT.

About ICSE

The Indian School Certification Examination Board (CISCE) conducts an examination known as the Indian Secondary Education Certificate (ICSE). The Council is a non-governmental education council in India up to Grade 10 and after Grade 10 will be the ICSE ISC (Indian School Certificate). There are currently over 1000 schools working with the Board in India and worldwide.

ICSE is difficult in languages ​​and offers a good choice of subjects. It offers a broader range of topics including home science, agriculture, fashion design, cooking, etc.

Differences between the CBSE and the ICSE

• CBSE stands for Central Secondary Council, which is the most educational council that links public and private schools in India and other nations. Indian Secondary Education Diploma in General Education, New Education Policy, 1986.
• CBSE is a body and ICSE is a school certificate examination. After standard 10, the ICSE will be the ISC (Indian School Certificate). Compared to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), ICSE has the Indian School Study Exam Board (CISCE), a private / non-governmental educational board.
• The subject matter is wise, both are quite different. The ICSE / ISC curriculum is generally more challenging for students than the CBSE, as the ICSE curriculum is usually based on the foreign education system.
• For ICSE, the test medium is English only. Unlike CBSE, where the test medium can be English or Hindi.
• The CBSE results only represent student grades. On the other hand, ICSE declares two scoreboards, one showing scores and the other the student's score.
